Truck loads of agricultural produce leave Benue State daily for other parts of the country to provide life support to Nigerians and foreigner. In Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Onitsha, there are special centres for Benue produce such as yams, oranges, mangoes, dried cassava, maize, beans, tomatoes, soya beans, beniseed, rice etc. Almost 80% of Nigeria's soya beans used in industry and export comes from Benue.

The democratic government under my leadership has identified core investment competencies in agriculture and solid minerals attract the much needed investment in the state.

As a government, we shall not fail the partnership test which democratic liberalization has prescribed for us. We will remain convinced free marketers and responsible joint venture partners. This is our convenant with all would-be investors.
